Advantages of HDPE biaxial geogrids


Firstly, it has high strength, good ductility, good surface suitability, and good weather resistance. 


Secondly, it has good impermeability to ensure that leachate does not leak through the liner and contaminate the land, that rainwater does not pass through the cover of the sealed field and increase the volume of leachate, and that landfill gas does not leak through the liner. 


Thirdly, it has good chemical stability and is the best of all geomembrane materials in terms of chemical stability. The leachate chemistry of municipal waste sanitary landfills poses no threat to HDPE biaxial geogrids and has good corrosion resistance. It has strong resistance to inorganic acids, organic acids, inorganic salts, alcohols, aldehydes, amines, esters, oils, and fats, preventing direct corrosion by these chemicals, as well as performance degradation due to absorption and expansion, and has some resistance to certain carbon and oxygen compounds (e.g. benzene, phenylacetaldehyde, alkanes, formaldehyde), and only poor resistance to halogenated carbon and oxygen compounds (e.g. chlorinated benzaldehyde, brominated benzene). resistance.

HDPE biaxial geogrids can be used in landfill applications because of their high corrosion resistance with the addition of 2% carbon black and their resistance to UV and oil contamination. In landfills where oil and corrosive liquids are everywhere, the results of using this type of HDPE biaxial geogrids can be expected for at least 10 if not 20 years without any problems. In the current construction of municipal landfills, the main method is to use an impermeable membrane for the base, then a filament geotextile for protection on top, and finally concrete on top, this method of construction relies on the strength of the filament geotextile to protect the impermeable membrane.
