Classification of geogrid


One is plastic geogrid mesh, which is a square or rectangular polymer mesh formed by stretching, either unidirectionally or bidirectionally depending on the direction of stretching at the time of manufacture, by punching holes in a polymer sheet made by extrusion and then applying directional stretching under heated conditions. 


The second type is steel-plastic grating mesh, which is made of high-strength steel wire with special treatment and other additives, extruded into a composite high-strength tensile strip with a rough embossed surface, which is then made into a high-strength reinforced geotextile. 


The third type is glass fiber grating mesh, which is a geocomposite material made from glass fibers through a certain weaving process and a special coating process to protect the glass fibers and improve the overall performance. The surface is coated with specially modified bitumen to give it a double composite performance, thus greatly improving the abrasion resistance and shear resistance of the geogrid


The fourth type is polyester fiber geotextile warp-knitted geogrid mesh, which is made of high-strength polyester fiber, with high tensile strength, small elongation force, high tear strength, a small difference in strength in longitudinal and transverse directions, anti-UV aging, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, lightweight, strong locking force with soil or gravel, etc. It has a significant effect on enhancing the shear resistance of soil and reinforcing to improve the integrity and loading force of soil.
